What To Eat WHEN autumn is in the air

FALL IS THE MEAN SEASON FOR OVEREATING, concludes John de Castro, Ph.D., a psychology professor at Georgia State University. His study of 315 men and women found that in fall they ate 220 more calories a day - and felt hungrier after meals - than they did at other times of the year. "The body's mechanism for telling your brain you're full is suppressed for an unknown reason," says de Castro. So what should you do?

What To Eat WHEN autumn is in the air
Figure you're going to be eating more and subtract those additional 220 calories elsewhere. Here are four foods you can do without that'll save you at least 220 apiece: two slices of American cheese, a helping of apple pie, a slice of pepperoni pizza and a bottle of Snapple mint iced tea.
